Horrific images captured the moment flames overtook a family home on a quiet Maryland street, killing six people, including four children.
The two-alarm fire erupted on Sunday morning and trapped multiple residents inside as the fire spread to a neighboring home.
The $510,000 house was engulfed in heavy flames with smoke seen billowing it from it when firefighters arrived at the scene.
It took about 70 firefighters more than an hour on Sunday to control the flames in the six-bedroom home in Waldorf, about 55 miles south of Baltimore.
Only one adult resident home managed to escape the two-alarm fire, The Bay Net reported.
Two other people who lived in the house were reportedly not home when the flames broke out. A total of nine people reportedly lived in the home.

One firefighter was hospitalized and another first responder was treated at the scene for unspecified injuries.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
Master Deputy State Fire Marshal Oliver Alkire said the blaze originated on the right side of the home within an enclosed porch.
The ages and names of the victims were not released as of Sunday evening. It is unclear if they were killed by the smoke or flames.
Officials added that there are no signs of arson.
Charles County Public Schools issued a statement after the fire saying the tragedy had impacted one of their families.

The identities of the victims and the cause of the fire remains unclear as of Monday morning
Officials from the Deputy State Fire Marshalls and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were continuing to investigate the blaze Sunday night.
Speaking to reporters, Alkire said it was unclear whether the home was equipped with a smoke alarm.
Akire stressed the importance of the devices and families having their own fire drills so that everyone inside the home knows how to escape in case of an emergency.
